With the University of Kent and Canterbury Christ Church University both in the city, there are a lot of shared houses around Canterbury, particularly in areas close to the campuses and the city centre. At the end of the academic year, these often leave landlords with broken furniture, mattresses, bags of rubbish and abandoned belongings. We clear them quickly so the house can be cleaned and re-let, and you get a waste transfer note for your records.

Access and pricing

Our price is based on the volume of rubbish and how easy it is to access. Narrow streets near the Cathedral or Wincheap, controlled parking and upstairs flats can all affect access, so it helps to tell us about them when you book. Our two or three-person team does all the carrying, dismantling and loading, then sweeps up. The price is fixed before we start, and the van only stops for as long as it takes to load.

Responsible disposal

We are a family-run business with more than 15 years’ experience, fully licensed and insured, and registered with the Environment Agency as a waste carrier (CBDU333885). Every load we collect goes to licensed facilities, where up to 90% is recycled or reused. Usable furniture is donated to charity where possible. We never fly-tip, and every job comes with a waste transfer note. We cannot take hazardous waste such as asbestos, chemicals, liquid paint or gas bottles.

Small loads are welcome too. A single mattress, an old fridge or a few bags left after a move can all be booked, and a photo on WhatsApp is usually enough for us to price it.
