Furniture Disposal Medway

Furniture Disposal Across Medway’s Towns and Villages

Whether you’re replacing a sofa in a Gillingham terrace, clearing a bedroom in a Walderslade semi or emptying a flat above a shop in Chatham, unwanted furniture is awkward to deal with. It rarely fits in a car, the council bulky collection can take weeks to arrive, and plenty of charities won’t accept upholstered furniture without fire labels. Our furniture disposal service in Medway is the quicker route.

We go in and get it

There’s no need to drag anything to the kerb. We collect from any room and any floor, including upstairs flats with no lift. The terraced houses in Chatham, Gillingham and Rochester often have steep, narrow stairs and tight turns, so where needed we dismantle bulky pieces on site to protect walls, banisters and doorways. On busy roads where parking is limited, we keep the van outside for as short a time as possible.

Furniture and appliances we collect

• Sofas, armchairs, recliners and sofa beds
• Beds, bed frames, divans and mattresses
• Wardrobes, chests of drawers, sideboards and cabinets
• Dining tables, chairs, desks and bookcases
• Fridges, freezers, washing machines, tumble dryers and cookers

Single items are welcome. It could be one mattress after a new bed has arrived or a whole flat of furniture before a move. You pay by the space it takes in the van, and the price is fixed before we lift anything.

We also collect from newer flats and apartment blocks, such as those around Chatham Maritime and along the Strood riverside, where there may be lifts, concierge rules or allocated loading areas. Just let us know any building rules when you book and we’ll work within them.

Reused or recycled

Good quality furniture is passed on for reuse wherever possible. The rest is broken down so the metal, timber and fabric can be recycled. White goods go to licensed WEEE recyclers, and fridges and freezers go to licensed facilities that deal with the gases safely. Overall we recycle or reuse up to 90% of what we collect, and we never fly-tip.

We are a family run, fully insured, Environment Agency registered waste carrier (CBDU333885), and you get a waste transfer note with every collection. If you’ve been looking for sofa disposal or furniture disposal anywhere in the Medway towns, we cover Chatham, Gillingham, Rochester, Strood, Rainham, Lordswood, Hempstead, Twydall, Cuxton and the Hoo Peninsula, with same day or next day slots often available.
