Furniture Disposal Stratford

Furniture Disposal Stratford: Apartments, Blocks and Family Homes

Stratford has grown upwards. Since the Olympics, thousands of people have moved into apartments at East Village, around Westfield Stratford City and along Stratford High Street, alongside the older tower blocks and the Victorian terraces of Maryland and Forest Gate. Getting a sofa out of a tenth-floor flat is a very different job from carrying one out of a two-up two-down, and our team is used to both.

Working in managed buildings

Many of the newer blocks in E15 and E20 have concierge desks, booked lift slots and rules about when and where removals can happen. Tell us about them when you book and we’ll plan around them. We collect from any room on any floor, use protective care in lifts and corridors, and dismantle large pieces on site so walls, doors and lift interiors aren’t damaged. You don’t need to bring anything to the loading bay yourself.

Furniture we collect

• Sofas, sofa beds, armchairs and corner units
• Mattresses, beds and bed frames
• Wardrobes, chests of drawers, TV stands and cabinets
• Dining tables, chairs and desks
• Fridges, freezers, washing machines and cookers

We take single items as well as full loads, so it doesn’t matter whether you’re replacing one mattress or clearing an entire flat at the end of a tenancy.

Faster, and properly recycled

Council bulky waste collections can take weeks, and many charities won’t accept upholstered items without fire labels. If you’re moving out of a flat near Stratford station at the end of the month, waiting isn’t an option. We can often collect on the same day or the next day, Monday to Saturday.

Good quality furniture is passed on for reuse where possible. Metal, timber and fabric are separated and recycled, white goods go to licensed WEEE recyclers, and fridges and freezers go to licensed facilities that deal with the gases safely. Up to 90% of what we collect is recycled or reused, and nothing is ever fly-tipped.

We’re a family run business with more than 15 years’ experience, fully licensed and insured and registered with the Environment Agency as a waste carrier (CBDU333885). You’ll receive a waste transfer note with every collection, which landlords and managing agents in Newham often need for their own records.

Prices are fixed before we start and are based on how much space your items take up in the van and how easy the access is. A ground-floor terrace in Forest Gate is simpler than a top-floor flat, and the price reflects that.
