Rubbish Clearance Leigh-on-Sea

Rubbish Collection in Leigh-on-Sea, SS9

Leigh-on-Sea is a lovely place to live, but it isn’t always easy for rubbish removal. Many of the Edwardian and 1920s terraces between the Broadway and the cliffs sit on steep roads with tight on-street parking, and a lot of homes have been split into flats with shared stairs. A skip often isn’t practical, which is why so many residents use EM Waste Clearance instead.

Built around Leigh’s streets

Our two or three person team parks as close as possible, carries everything out and loads it by hand, so there is nothing left on the pavement and no skip permit needed from Southend City Council. Steep roads running down towards Leigh station and Old Leigh, narrow side streets off Leigh Broadway and London Road, and top-floor flats without lifts are all routine work for us.

Common collections

• Sofas, mattresses, wardrobes and chests of drawers
• Washing machines, fridges and other appliances
• Garden waste and old garden furniture from back gardens and yards
• Rubbish from basements, lofts and outbuildings
• Leftover materials after renovating a period property, excluding hazardous waste

We cannot take asbestos, chemicals, liquid paint or gas bottles. If you are unsure about anything, ask us before we arrive.

Clear prices and responsible disposal

We price each job on volume and access, and the fixed figure is agreed before any work starts. The easiest way to get a quote is to send photos to our WhatsApp on 07531 148 585. Same day or next day collections are often available across Leigh-on-Sea, Chalkwell, Westcliff, Eastwood and Belfairs.

Once loaded, your rubbish goes through licensed facilities. Up to 90% is recycled or reused and good items are donated to charity where possible. As an Environment Agency registered waste carrier (CBDU333885), we hand you a waste transfer note so you know your rubbish hasn’t been dumped somewhere along the estuary or in Belfairs Woods.

If you’re having a clear-out before decorating, selling or simply reclaiming a spare room, it’s worth booking us for one visit rather than making repeated trips in the car. We sweep up when we’re done, and if more turns up later, we’re happy to come back for another load.

Many Leigh-on-Sea homes have small front gardens or no front garden at all, so there is nowhere to stack rubbish while you wait for a collection. With us there is no need to pile things outside in advance. Just leave everything where it is, show our team what needs to go, and we will take it straight from the room, cellar or back garden to our vehicle.
