House Clearance Orpington

House Clearance Orpington: A Considerate Service

Orpington has a settled, established community, and many people have lived in the same bungalow or semi for most of their lives. That means a lot of house clearances here are linked to a bereavement, a move into care or sheltered housing, or downsizing once the children have left. EM Waste Clearance has been clearing homes for more than 15 years, and we know that these jobs need care and patience as much as muscle.

Clearances after a bereavement

Emptying a parent’s or relative’s home is often one of the last jobs to do when settling an estate. Our team works steadily and respectfully, room by room. We set aside personal papers, photographs, letters and documents for the family to go through, rather than loading them with everything else. We can work directly with your solicitor, executor or estate agent, and if you live away from Orpington we can collect keys and send photos when the house is clear.

Downsizing from a family home

If you are moving from a larger house to a flat or retirement property, you might want only part of the house cleared, perhaps after you have taken the furniture you are keeping. We can clear a single room, the loft and garage, or everything that is left. Furniture in good condition is donated to charity where possible, so it goes on to be used by someone else. We can also clear sheds and greenhouses at the end of the garden, which are often forgotten until the last minute.

Access and timing

Most homes in Orpington, Crofton and Green Street Green have driveways, which helps loading go smoothly. For flats near the High Street or the station, let us know about parking, stairs and lifts when you book. Same day or next day clearances are often available if you have a completion date or tenancy handover coming up.

We are fully licensed and insured and registered with the Environment Agency (CBDU333885). Up to 90% of what we collect is recycled or reused, and nothing is ever fly-tipped. We cannot remove hazardous waste such as asbestos, chemicals, gas bottles or liquid paint.
