Furniture Disposal Orpington

Orpington Furniture Disposal Without the Heavy Lifting

Orpington is classic outer London suburbia: 1930s semis around Petts Wood, Crofton and Goddington, post-war family homes in St Mary Cray and St Paul’s Cray, newer estates out towards Green Street Green, and flats close to the High Street and Orpington station. Whatever the house, furniture eventually needs replacing, and the old pieces have to go somewhere. We collect from inside your home, so you do not need to struggle with anything yourself.

Common furniture disposal jobs in BR5 and BR6

• Old sofas and armchairs replaced by a new suite
• Beds, mattresses and bed frames after a bedroom makeover
• Wardrobes, chests of drawers and dressing tables
• Dining tables, chairs, desks and garage shelving
• Fridges, freezers, washing machines and cookers after a kitchen refit

We take single items, such as one mattress or one armchair, right up to a full van load.

Narrow halls, low ceilings and tight landings

Interwar semis often have compact hallways and a turn at the top of the stairs that makes big wardrobes and bed frames awkward. Our two or three person team takes large pieces apart on site to protect walls and doorframes, then carries everything out and loads the van. We collect from any room and any floor, including upstairs flats with no lift, and sweep up before we leave.

Time matters when furniture is in the way

If a new sofa is booked for delivery, or you are emptying a house before a sale completes, waiting weeks for a council bulky collection is not much help. Many charities also refuse upholstered items without fire labels. Our furniture disposal service is often available same day or next day, Monday to Saturday, and we agree a fixed price before we start. A photo on WhatsApp is usually enough to price it.

Reuse and recycling

Good quality furniture is passed on for reuse where possible. The rest is separated so metal, timber and fabric can be recycled. White goods go to licensed WEEE recyclers, and fridges and freezers go to licensed facilities that deal with the gases safely. Up to 90% of what we collect is recycled or reused, and we never fly-tip. You get a waste transfer note with every job.
