Furniture Disposal West Wickham

Furniture Disposal in West Wickham, Done Properly

New sofa arriving on Saturday and the old one still in the lounge? Clearing a spare room ready for a nursery? EM Waste Clearance offers furniture disposal across West Wickham and the rest of BR4, collecting anything from a single item to a full van load and taking it straight from the room it is in.

Single items through to full loads

There is no minimum. We collect one mattress, a pair of armchairs or the contents of an entire house. Common collections include:

• Sofas, sofa beds, armchairs and footstools
• Beds, bed frames, headboards and mattresses
• Wardrobes, chests of drawers and bedside cabinets
• Dining tables, chairs, desks and bookcases
• Fridges, freezers, washing machines, cookers and other white goods

Handled inside the house

You don’t need to drag anything to the kerb. Our two or three person team collects from any room and any floor, including flats above the parades on the High Street and the newer apartments near West Wickham station. Fitted or oversized wardrobes and bulky corner sofas are dismantled on site, which protects walls, banisters and doorframes in the 1930s houses typical of Coney Hall and Hayes.

Quicker than waiting for a bulky collection

Council bulky waste collections can take weeks to come round, and many charities won’t accept upholstered furniture without fire safety labels, which rules out a lot of older sofas. Our furniture disposal service is often available same day or next day, and the price is fixed before we start, based on the space your items take up in the van.

Reuse and recycling

Good quality furniture is passed on for reuse wherever possible. Everything else is separated so metal, timber and fabric can be recycled, white goods go to licensed WEEE recyclers, and fridges and freezers go to licensed facilities that deal with the gases safely. Overall, up to 90% of what we collect is recycled or reused, and every job comes with a waste transfer note under our waste carrier licence CBDU333885.

Parking is usually straightforward on the residential roads, but on the High Street and around the station it can be busier. We plan the collection so the van is outside for as short a time as possible, and the team brings everything out in one go rather than leaving items on the pavement while we wait.

We collect throughout West Wickham and from Eden Park, Park Langley, Shirley, Keston and Elmers End.
