Furniture Disposal Bexley

Bexley Furniture Disposal for Village Cottages and Family Homes

Old Bexley village has a very different feel from the rest of the borough, with period cottages and older houses around the High Street and Bourne Road, while Albany Park, Blendon and Joydens Wood are mostly family homes from the twentieth century. What they share is furniture that eventually needs replacing. We collect it from inside the house, load it and take it away, so you aren’t left with a wardrobe on the drive or a sofa in the porch.

Narrow doorways and low beams

Older properties in Bexley often have tight staircases, low ceilings and small doorways that made getting furniture in difficult in the first place. Rather than forcing a piece through and risking plaster, paintwork or a banister, our team dismantles beds, wardrobes and large units on site. It’s two or three uniformed people, so heavy items are carried safely, and we sweep up behind us once the room is clear.

What we collect in Bexley

• Sofas, settees, recliners and armchairs
• Beds, divans, mattresses and bed frames
• Heavy old wardrobes, dressers, sideboards and display cabinets
• Dining tables and chairs, bureaus and desks
• Fridges, freezers, cookers, washers and dryers

Whether it’s one mattress or a whole house’s worth of furniture, we’re happy to help. Each job is priced on the space it takes up in the van and how easy the access is, and that price is fixed before we lift anything. Send a few photos on WhatsApp and we’ll come back with a quote.

Reuse and recycling first

Older, solid furniture often has plenty of life left in it, so we pass on good quality pieces for reuse wherever possible. Anything that can’t be reused is separated so the metal, timber and fabric can be recycled. White goods go to licensed WEEE recyclers, and fridges and freezers go to licensed facilities that deal with their gases safely. Up to 90% of what we collect is recycled or reused, and we never fly-tip.

Many charities won’t take upholstered furniture without fire labels, and council bulky collections can take weeks to arrange. We can often collect same day or next day instead, Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm and Saturday mornings. Our family run business has more than 15 years’ experience and over 7,500 happy customers, and every job comes with a waste transfer note.

Alongside Bexley village, we cover Bexleyheath, Sidcup, Crayford and the wider DA5 area.
