Furniture Disposal Bexleyheath

Furniture Disposal in Bexleyheath and Across DA6 and DA7

An old sofa, a broken bed frame or a wardrobe that won’t fit in the new bedroom has a habit of sitting in the hallway for weeks. In Bexleyheath we make getting rid of it straightforward: tell us what needs to go, we agree a fixed price before we start, and a uniformed two or three person team carries it out from whichever room it’s in. There’s no need to drag anything out to the pavement or leave a mattress leaning against the front wall.

What we collect

• Sofas, armchairs, sofa beds and footstools
• Beds, mattresses, bed frames and headboards
• Wardrobes, chests of drawers, sideboards and cabinets
• Dining tables, chairs and home office desks
• Fridges, freezers, washing machines, cookers and other white goods

One item or a full van load, the process is the same. Pricing is based on the space your furniture takes up in the van and how easy it is to reach, so a single armchair from a ground floor front room costs less than a three-piece suite coming down from a second floor flat.

Bexleyheath homes and how we handle them

A lot of Bexleyheath is interwar semis and terraces, spreading out towards Upton, Bridgen and Barnehurst, with flats above shops along the Broadway and newer blocks closer to the station. Big pieces in older houses often went in before a staircase was altered or a door was narrowed, so we dismantle wardrobes, bed frames and corner sofas on site instead of forcing them through and scuffing the walls. Where a block has no lift, we carry everything down by hand. Residential roads can be busy at school run times, so we talk through parking and arrival when you book.

Where it ends up

We never fly-tip. Good quality pieces are passed on for reuse where possible, and metal, timber and fabric are separated for recycling. White goods go to licensed WEEE recyclers, and fridges and freezers go to licensed facilities that deal with the gases safely. Up to 90% of what we collect is recycled or reused, and every job comes with a waste transfer note as your proof it was handled properly.

Council bulky collections can take weeks to come round, and many charities won’t accept upholstered items without fire labels. That’s usually when people ring us for a sofa disposal, and we can often come out the same day or next day across Bexleyheath and the surrounding streets.
