Furniture Disposal Plumstead

Furniture Disposal in Plumstead and SE18

Getting rid of a sofa in Plumstead can be harder than buying a new one. You might be in a first-floor flat above a shop on the High Street, a terrace on one of the steep roads up to the common, or a block on one of the estates where the lift is too small for anything bulky. EM Waste Clearance collects unwanted furniture from all of them. We come into your home, lift it from whichever room it’s in, and take it away.

What we’ll collect

• Sofas, armchairs and sofa beds
• Mattresses, beds and bed frames
• Wardrobes, chests of drawers and cabinets
• Dining tables, chairs and desks
• Fridges, freezers, washing machines, cookers and other white goods

Single items are welcome. Whether it’s one mattress or a full van load from a house move, we’ll come and collect it.

Nothing to move yourself

There’s no need to drag anything to the kerb or down to the bin store. Our two or three person team collects from any room and any floor, and dismantles large pieces such as wardrobes and corner sofas on site so walls, doors and stairwells aren’t damaged on the way out. We sweep up when the item has gone.

An alternative to waiting weeks

Council bulky waste collections can take weeks, and many charities won’t accept upholstered furniture without fire safety labels. If you’ve got a new bed arriving or you’re moving out, you probably don’t want to wait. Our furniture disposal service can often be booked for the same or next day, and the fixed price is agreed before we start, based on how much space the items take in the van and the access.

Where your furniture goes

Good quality pieces are passed on for reuse. Everything else is broken down so metal, timber and fabric can be recycled. White goods go to licensed WEEE recyclers, and fridges and freezers go to licensed facilities that deal with the gases safely. We’re a registered waste carrier (CBDU333885), fully insured, and each job comes with a waste transfer note. We never fly-tip.

If you’re booking around a delivery, tell us the date so we can collect the old item before or on the same day the new one arrives. Mixed loads are fine too, so a bed, a bookcase and a broken chair can go together.

We collect furniture across Plumstead, Woolwich, Abbey Wood, Shooters Hill, Welling, East Wickham and Thamesmead. WhatsApp a photo to 07531 148 585 or call free on 0800 910 1700.
