Furniture Disposal Eltham

Furniture Disposal Eltham: We Carry It Out for You

Eltham is mostly family housing: interwar semis off Court Road and Westmount Road, the cottage-style homes of the Progress Estate near Well Hall, and plenty of maisonettes and flats around Eltham High Street and Kidbrooke. That means a lot of three-piece suites, divan beds and fitted-looking wardrobes that eventually need to go. We collect them from wherever they are, with no need for you to move anything to the front garden.

Furniture and appliances we take

• Sofas, recliners, armchairs and sofa beds
• Mattresses, divans, headboards and bed frames
• Wardrobes, dressing tables, chests of drawers and bedside cabinets
• Dining tables, chairs, desks and shelving units
• Fridges, freezers, washing machines, tumble dryers and cookers

Narrow landings and small front doors

Interwar houses often have a tight turn at the top of the stairs, and older Progress Estate cottages have compact doorways. Big wardrobes and bed frames that were assembled in the room usually have to be taken apart to come out. Our two or three person team dismantles large pieces on site so walls, banisters and doorframes are protected, then we load the van and sweep up. Upstairs flats without a lift are fine too; we allow for the stairs when we price.

Faster than waiting for a collection

Council bulky waste collections can take weeks, and many charities will not take upholstered furniture without fire labels. If you are clearing a room before new furniture arrives, or emptying a parent’s house, that wait is often the problem. We can often collect same day or next day, Monday to Saturday, at a fixed price agreed before we start. You can send photos on WhatsApp to 07531 148 585 and we will price it from those.

Good quality furniture is passed on for reuse where possible. Everything else is split so metal, timber and fabric can be recycled. White goods go to licensed WEEE recyclers, and fridges and freezers go to licensed facilities that deal with the gases safely. Up to 90% of the waste we collect is recycled or reused, and nothing is ever fly-tipped.

If you are clearing furniture from a relative’s home or a rental property and cannot be there on the day, we can collect keys and send photos once the rooms are empty.

We cover Eltham and nearby Mottingham, New Eltham, Kidbrooke, Falconwood, Lee and Avery Hill, across SE9 and SE12. EM Waste Clearance is family run with more than 15 years’ experience and over 7,500 happy customers. We are fully licensed and insured, registered with the Environment Agency (CBDU333885), and you get a waste transfer note with every collection.
