Furniture Disposal Blackheath

Blackheath Furniture Disposal and Collection

Furniture in Blackheath homes tends to be big. Heavy Victorian wardrobes, extending dining tables, deep sofas that came in through a sash window or were built in the room. Getting them out of a townhouse with a curved staircase, or a mansion flat with a small shared lift, takes planning and a bit of muscle. EM Waste Clearance provides furniture disposal across Blackheath and SE3, collecting from any room and any floor so you never have to drag anything to the kerb.

What we take away

• Sofas, armchairs, sofa beds and chaises
• Beds, bed frames, headboards and mattresses
• Wardrobes, chests of drawers, sideboards and dressers
• Dining tables, chairs, desks and bookcases
• Fridges, freezers, washing machines, cookers and other white goods

Dismantled to protect your home

Where a large piece won’t go through a doorway or round a landing, our team dismantles it on site. That protects original plasterwork, banisters and door frames, which matter a lot in period properties around the heath and the Village. We bring a two or three person team, do all the lifting, and sweep up once the item has gone.

Why not wait for a council collection?

Council bulky collections can take weeks, and many charities won’t accept upholstered furniture without fire safety labels. If you’ve just bought a new sofa or you’re getting a flat ready for sale, that’s not much use. Our furniture disposal service can often be booked for the same or next day, at a fixed price agreed before we start. We take single items, so one mattress or one armchair is fine, right up to a full van load.

Reuse and recycling

Good quality pieces are passed on for reuse. Other furniture is broken down so metal, timber and fabric can be recycled. White goods go to licensed WEEE recyclers, and fridges and freezers go to licensed facilities that handle the gases safely. We’re a registered waste carrier (CBDU333885), fully insured, and every collection comes with a waste transfer note.

Parking can be awkward near the Village and on the roads around the heath, so let us know if there’s a driveway or a restriction we should plan for.

If you are expecting a delivery, tell us the date. We can often collect the old item the day before, or on the morning the new one arrives, so you’re never stuck with two sofas in the same room. Mixed loads are fine too, so a bed frame, a bookcase and a broken dining chair can all go in one trip at one fixed price.

We collect furniture throughout Blackheath, Lee, Lewisham, Kidbrooke, Greenwich, Charlton and Westcombe Park. Send a photo on WhatsApp to 07531 148 585 or call free on 0800 910 1700 for a fixed price.
