Rubbish Clearance Colchester

Rubbish Clearance Colchester: Town Centre, Suburbs and Villages

Colchester mixes some of the oldest streets in the country with some of the newest housing in Essex. Within a few miles you’ll find timber-framed houses in the Dutch Quarter, Victorian terraces off Maldon Road and around New Town, 1930s semis in Lexden and Prettygate, and large modern estates in Stanway, Highwoods and the Northern Gateway. EM Waste Clearance collects household and garden rubbish across all of it, covering CO1, CO2, CO3 and CO4.

Narrow streets and tricky access

The streets inside the old town walls weren’t designed for skips or vans. In the Dutch Quarter and around East Hill, space to stop is very limited and there’s often no front garden at all. That’s where a clearance team earns its keep. We carry items out by hand to wherever the van can safely wait, and we’re in and out without anything left sitting on the pavement. There’s no skip permit to apply for, and no week-long hire to pay for.

Common collections

• Sofas, chairs, mattresses and bed frames
• Washing machines, fridges, freezers and tumble dryers
• Garden waste, turf, soil and old fencing
• Loft and garage clutter built up over the years
• Old carpets, doors and units after home improvements
• Bikes, toys and broken outdoor furniture

Hazardous waste such as asbestos, chemicals, liquid paint and gas bottles is the one thing we can’t take.

How pricing works

We price each job on the volume of rubbish and how easy it is to reach and carry. You’ll know the exact figure before we start, and it won’t change once we’re on site. The quickest route to a price is to WhatsApp a few photos to 07531 148 585. For most households, the result is cheaper than a skip, and you don’t have to lift anything yourself.

A registered, responsible carrier

EM Waste Clearance is registered with the Environment Agency as a waste carrier (CBDU333885) and is fully insured. You’ll receive a waste transfer note for every collection. Up to 90% of what we collect is recycled or reused, items in good condition are passed to charity where possible, and we never fly-tip. We’re a family-run business with over 15 years’ experience and more than 7,500 happy customers.

We cover the whole of Colchester, plus Lexden, Stanway, Highwoods, Greenstead, Mile End, Wivenhoe, Rowhedge and West Mersea. Same day or next day collection is often available.
