Wait & Load Barnet

Wait & Load in Barnet: A Tidy Skip Alternative

Around Chipping Barnet you get a mix of Victorian cottages, Edwardian terraces and 1930s semis, plus flats above shops along the High Street and Wood Street. Some of the older streets near Hadley and Arkley sit in conservation areas where a skip parked outside for a week can be awkward. Our wait and load service keeps things simple: the van comes to you, waits while you load your waste, and takes it straight off.

Step by step

• Send us photos or describe the job and we give you a price
• We arrive with a van and crew at the agreed slot
• You load the van, sorting as you go; the crew can help on request
• The van leaves with everything, and you get a waste transfer note

Because nothing stays on the road, there is no skip permit to apply for, no neighbours adding their old mattress, and no skip blocking the pavement on a narrow street.

Jobs it suits in EN5 and EN4

We get calls from homeowners in New Barnet and East Barnet refitting kitchens and bathrooms, from families clearing out a parent’s house before a sale, and from builders and trades who need rubble, timber and plasterboard offcuts taken away between stages. Garden projects are common too, with turf, soil, branches and old fencing all suitable for the van.

Most non-hazardous household, garden and building waste can go. We do not take asbestos, gas bottles, chemicals or liquid paint, so keep those separate when you are loading.

Cost and how we handle the waste

The price is worked out from the volume and weight of what you load. We quote on request rather than listing set prices, so call 0800 910 1700, WhatsApp photos to 07531 148 585, or use our quote form. Same day or next day bookings are often available.

Your waste goes to licensed facilities where up to 90% is recycled or reused. It is never fly-tipped, and the waste transfer note is your proof that it has been disposed of properly. EM Waste Clearance is family run with more than 15 years’ experience, fully insured, and registered with the Environment Agency as a waste carrier (CBDU333885).

We cover the whole area, from the High Street down to Whetstone, Totteridge and Cockfosters. For a skip-free way to clear a project in Barnet, get in touch.

Being at the top end of the Northern line, High Barnet has plenty of commuters who would rather not take days off to babysit a skip. A van that comes, waits and goes is easier to fit around work.
