Wait & Load Wandsworth

Wait and Load Wandsworth: A Van That Waits While You Load

If you’re doing up a house in Wandsworth, you’ll know that space outside is precious. A skip takes up a parking bay, needs a permit from the council and can sit on the road for days. With our wait and load service, a van and crew come to you instead. They wait while you load the waste, then drive it away. When the van leaves, so does the rubbish.

Streets where a skip is a struggle

The roads around Wandsworth Common, including the Victorian terraces known locally as the Toast Rack, are popular for extensions and loft conversions. They’re also lined with residents’ parking and very few homes have a front drive. Further south in Earlsfield and Southfields it’s a similar story, with long rows of terraced houses either side of Garratt Lane. Around Wandsworth Town and Old York Road you’ll find flats and newer riverside developments with no forecourt at all.

In all of these places, a wait and load skip alternative makes life easier. There is no skip permit, nothing blocking the pavement, and no chance of passers-by filling it up overnight.

What goes in, and what doesn’t

Most non-hazardous waste from homes, gardens and building jobs can go in the van:

• Rubble, bricks and broken tiles
• Plasterboard offcuts and timber
• Old kitchens, bathrooms and fitted wardrobes
• Garden waste, soil and old fence panels
• Furniture, mattresses and general household rubbish

We can’t take hazardous items. Asbestos, gas bottles, chemicals and liquid paint all need specialist disposal, so please keep these out of the load.

Who it suits

Wait and load works well for homeowners doing DIY, builders and trades who want a clear site at the end of the day, and anyone having a clear-out who prefers to sort as they go. We cover the whole of Wandsworth, including SW18, SW17 and SW11, as well as Tooting, Balham and Clapham Junction nearby.

You load the van yourself, and our crew can help load on request. Price is based on the volume and weight of your waste, so it’s quoted on request. Call, use the quote form, or WhatsApp a few photos to 07531 148 585.

Every load goes to licensed facilities, with up to 90% recycled or reused. You’ll receive a waste transfer note and we never fly-tip. We’re family run, fully licensed and insured, and have over 15 years’ experience in waste removal across London, Essex and Kent.
