Furniture Disposal Halstead

Furniture Disposal Across Halstead and the Colne Valley

Halstead is built on a hill, and anyone who has tried to manhandle a wardrobe down one of the steep streets off the High Street will know it isn’t a one-person job. EM Waste Clearance takes that problem off your hands. We collect unwanted furniture and household appliances from homes across CO9, carrying everything out ourselves and dealing with the disposal properly.

From the bedroom to our van

You don’t need to move anything to the kerb. Our uniformed team of two or three will collect from any room on any floor, including flats above the shops around Market Hill and upstairs flats with no lift. If a bed frame, wardrobe or corner unit won’t come out in one piece, we take it apart on site so your walls and banisters stay unmarked.

Typical items we take from Halstead homes:

• Three-piece suites, sofa beds and recliners
• Mattresses, divan bases and bed frames
• Wardrobes, chests of drawers and display cabinets
• Dining tables, chairs and desks
• Fridges, freezers, cookers and washing machines

Quicker than waiting around

Council bulky collections can take weeks to arrive, and many charities turn down upholstered furniture that’s missing its fire labels. We often have same day or next day collections available. Single items are welcome, so if it’s just one old mattress in the spare room, we’ll still come out for it.

The price is fixed before we lift anything. It depends on how much van space the furniture will take up and how easy the access is, so a quick WhatsApp photo is usually all we need to quote. We’re open Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm and Saturday 9am to 1pm.

Reuse first, then recycling

Decent furniture is passed on for reuse wherever possible. Anything else is broken down so the metal, timber and fabric can be recycled. White goods go to licensed WEEE recyclers, and fridges and freezers go to licensed facilities that deal with the gases safely. Up to 90% of what we take is recycled or reused, and we never fly-tip.

We’re a family-run business with more than 15 years in the trade and over 7,500 happy customers. We are fully licensed and insured, registered with the Environment Agency (CBDU333885), and every Halstead job comes with a waste transfer note. That’s useful for landlords, executors and letting agents who need a paper trail.

We also cover Sible Hedingham, Castle Hedingham, Earls Colne, Gosfield and Colne Engaine. For sofa disposal or any furniture disposal in Halstead, call 0800 910 1700 or WhatsApp 07531 148 585.
