Wait & Load Halstead

Wait and Load Halstead

Halstead’s town centre climbs steeply up from the River Colne, and many of the older terraces either side of the High Street have no driveway at all. A skip on a slope outside a front door isn’t ideal, and on narrower roads it can leave little room for cars to pass. Our wait and load service is a simple skip alternative: a van and crew arrive, wait while you load, and leave with the waste.

Why people in Halstead choose a van over a skip

A skip usually stays put for days. With wait and load, nothing is left behind once the van drives off. That means:

• No skip permit for a skip on the public road
• No container blocking parking outside your house
• No one else filling your skip after dark
• No waiting for a lorry to come and collect it

You load the van yourself, and our crew can help load on request. It’s well suited to jobs where waste comes out in stages, such as a renovation in a period property, a loft conversion, a builder finishing a phase of work, or a garden clearance where you’re cutting back and loading as you go. Landlords turning round a rental, or families clearing a relative’s home, use it in exactly the same way.

Towns and villages we cover near Halstead

We cover Halstead and the surrounding part of Braintree District. That includes Earls Colne, Colne Engaine, Sible Hedingham, Castle Hedingham, Gosfield, Greenstead Green and Pebmarsh. Out in the villages, many homes are cottages on lanes without pavements, and a van that waits and leaves is often far easier than trying to place a skip on a verge.

What we take, and where it goes

Most non-hazardous waste can go in the van. Common loads include:

• Rubble, bricks and plasterboard offcuts
• Old kitchens, bathroom suites and flooring
• Timber, fencing and garden waste
• Furniture and general household rubbish

We can’t take hazardous waste, including asbestos, gas bottles, chemicals and liquid paint.

Your waste goes to licensed facilities, and up to 90% is recycled or reused. You’ll get a waste transfer note on every job, and we never fly-tip. We’re a family-run company with 15+ years in the trade, fully licensed and insured, and registered with the Environment Agency (CBDU333885).

The cost of wait and load rubbish removal depends on the volume and weight of the waste, so it’s priced on request. Send photos on WhatsApp to 07531 148 585 or call free on 0800 910 1700 for a price. Same day or next day visits to Halstead are often available.
