Furniture Disposal Sheerness

Furniture Disposal in Sheerness and Across Sheppey

Living on the Isle of Sheppey has plenty going for it, but getting rid of a bulky sofa isn’t one of them. With the island linked to the mainland by the Sheppey Crossing and the Kingsferry Bridge, a trip to dispose of large items yourself means borrowing a van and a lot of lifting. EM Waste Clearance comes to you. We collect furniture from homes in Sheerness and across the island, and our team handles every bit of the carrying and loading.

Homes we collect from

In Sheerness itself, many people live in the Victorian terraces of Mile Town and Marine Town or in flats near the High Street and Broadway, often with steep stairs and no lift. Blue Town has its own older streets close to the docks. Over in Minster, Halfway and Eastchurch there are lots of bungalows and family houses, while Leysdown and Warden have chalets and holiday homes that are regularly refitted. We collect from any room and any floor, so you never need to drag anything to the kerb.

Items we take

• Sofas, armchairs, recliners and sofa beds
• Beds, bed frames and mattresses of any size
• Wardrobes, chests of drawers and cabinets
• Dining tables, chairs and desks
• Fridges, freezers, washing machines, cookers and other white goods

Large items are dismantled on site where needed so walls and doorways aren’t damaged. One item or a full van load, it’s all welcome.

Why not wait for the council or a charity?

Council bulky collections can take weeks, and many charities won’t accept upholstered items without fire labels. We can often offer same day or next day sofa disposal in Sheerness and around the island, with a fixed price agreed before we start. That price depends on how much room the items take in the van and how easy the access is. Send photos by WhatsApp and we’ll usually come back with a quote quickly.

Recycling, not fly-tipping

Good quality furniture is passed on for reuse. Metal, timber and fabric are separated for recycling, white goods go to licensed WEEE recyclers, and fridges and freezers go to licensed facilities that deal with the gases safely. Up to 90% of what we collect is recycled or reused, and we never fly-tip. We’re an Environment Agency registered waste carrier (CBDU333885) and give you a waste transfer note for every job. We’re family run, with over 15 years’ experience.
