Wait & Load Sheerness

Wait and Load Sheerness and the Isle of Sheppey

Living on Sheppey has its quirks, and getting rid of a pile of waste is one of them. Sheerness has dense streets of Victorian terraces in Marine Town and Blue Town, flats above shops along the High Street and the Broadway, and very few front drives. Elsewhere on the island, Minster-on-Sea, Halfway and Queenborough have more bungalows and family homes. Wherever you are, our wait and load service gives you a way to clear waste without a skip.

Here’s the Idea

EM Waste Clearance drives a van and crew over the Sheppey Crossing to your property. You load the waste into the van while the crew waits. When you’ve finished, the van goes back over the bridge with everything on board. Our crew can help load on request if there are heavier bits.

There’s no skip sitting outside your house in ME12, no skip permit, and no chance of the neighbours topping it up with their own rubbish overnight. You also avoid waiting for a skip lorry to make the trip back across to collect it.

What People on Sheppey Use It For

• Doing up older terraces in Marine Town and Mile Town
• Bungalow clear-outs in Minster and Halfway, sorting as you go
• Garden projects in Eastchurch and Queenborough
• Clearing old furniture and clutter out of holiday chalets around Leysdown
• Builders and trades who want waste taken away without a skip on site

Waste Types

We take most non-hazardous household, garden and building waste. Rubble, plasterboard offcuts, timber, old kitchens and bathrooms, furniture, garden waste and general rubbish are all fine. We cannot take asbestos, gas bottles, chemicals or liquid paint.

How Much Does It Cost?

Wait and load is priced on the volume and weight of the waste, so we give prices on request. WhatsApp a few photos, use the quote form or ring the office. Same day or next day service is often available, including on the island.

All waste goes to licensed facilities, where up to 90% is recycled or reused. You get a waste transfer note on every job, so you know your waste has been handled legally, and it’s never fly-tipped. We’re a family-run company with 15+ years’ experience and over 7,500 happy customers. We’re fully licensed and insured and an Environment Agency registered waste carrier (CBDU333885).

If you want a skip alternative in Sheerness that doesn’t leave a container on your street, call 0800 910 1700 or WhatsApp photos to 07531 148 585 for a price. Our office is open Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm and Saturday 9am to 1pm.
