Rubbish Clearance Thanet

Rubbish Clearance Across Thanet: Margate, Ramsgate, Broadstairs and Beyond

Thanet packs a lot of different homes into a small corner of Kent. There are tall Victorian and Georgian townhouses in Margate and Ramsgate, flats carved out of former guest houses in Cliftonville, seaside bungalows along the coast at Westgate-on-Sea and Birchington, and newer estates around Westwood and Manston. Our rubbish clearance service covers the whole district, so wherever you are on the isle we can usually get to you quickly.

Why many Thanet households skip the skip

A skip sounds simple until you try to place one. Many streets in Margate Old Town, around Ramsgate’s Royal Harbour and in central Broadstairs are narrow, permit-controlled or simply full of parked cars. A skip on the road needs a permit, sits there for days and often gets filled by passers-by. We load straight into our van and drive away in one visit, which in many cases works out cheaper than a skip anyway.

What we clear

• Household bags, boxes and general clutter
• Old furniture, mattresses and broken appliances
• Loft and cellar junk, which is common in Thanet’s older terraces
• Holiday let and guest house refit waste
• Garden waste, broken fencing and pots
• Light builders’ waste such as timber and packaging

We can’t take hazardous waste such as asbestos, chemicals, liquid paint or gas bottles. If you are unsure about something, include it in your photos and we’ll tell you straight away.

How we price and what happens next

You pay for the space your waste takes up in the van, with access taken into account. A top-floor flat in a converted Cliftonville house with three flights of stairs takes longer than a pile on a Minster driveway, and the fixed price we agree before starting reflects that honestly. On the day our uniformed team of two or three does all the lifting and loading, then sweeps up.

Many Thanet properties have a cellar or a deep loft that has quietly filled over the years. These are often the slowest parts of a clearance, so it helps to include photos of them when you ask for a quote.

We are an Environment Agency registered waste carrier (CBDU333885) and you’ll receive a waste transfer note on every job. Up to 90% of what we collect is recycled or reused, and usable items are passed on wherever possible. We never fly-tip. With over 15 years’ experience and more than 7,500 happy customers, we are a family run firm that regularly works in Margate, Ramsgate, Broadstairs, Birchington, Westgate-on-Sea, Minster, St Peter’s and Garlinge.
