Rubbish Clearance Margate

Rubbish Clearance Margate: From Cliftonville Flats to Birchington Bungalows

Margate has changed a lot in recent years, with people buying and renovating old properties in the Old Town and Cliftonville, and a steady turnover of flats and holiday lets along the seafront. All that activity creates rubbish: old furniture, ripped-out kitchens, carpets and the contents of houses that have been empty for a while. EM Waste Clearance collects it in one visit, carrying everything out ourselves and making sure it’s disposed of properly.

Big Victorian houses divided into flats

Much of Cliftonville and the streets behind Margate seafront is made up of large Victorian and Edwardian houses converted into flats, often four or five storeys high with no lift. Getting a sofa or a double mattress down from the top floor is hard work and easy to get wrong. Our team of two or three does it safely, dismantling items in the flat where needed, protecting the stairwell as we go and loading straight onto the van. A skip on these roads would need a permit and take up parking that’s already in short supply, so a man-and-van clearance is usually the better choice.

Renovation and refurbishment waste

If you’re doing up a property in the Old Town, Northdown Road or Westbrook, we can clear the waste as you go:

• Old kitchens, bathrooms and built-in wardrobes
• Carpets, underlay and laminate flooring
• Doors, skirting and timber offcuts
• Furniture and junk left by previous owners
• Packaging from new appliances and fittings

We can’t take asbestos, chemicals, liquid paint or gas bottles, so please mention them if they’re on site. If your builders are working in stages, we can come back for each batch of waste rather than leaving it piled up in the front garden.

Bungalows, gardens and garages

Further out, in Westgate-on-Sea, Birchington, Garlinge and Palm Bay, many homes are bungalows and chalet bungalows with gardens, sheds and garages that have filled up over the years. We clear garden waste, old greenhouses and sheds, and the contents of lofts and garages, dismantling anything bulky on site and sweeping up afterwards.
