Wait & Load Margate

Wait & Load in Margate and Across Thanet

Margate has seen a lot of renovation in recent years. Big Georgian and Victorian houses in Cliftonville are being turned back into family homes or split into flats, shops along Northdown Road are being refitted, and older terraces in Westbrook and Garlinge are getting new kitchens and bathrooms. All of that work creates waste, and most of these properties open straight onto the pavement with no space for a skip.

Our wait and load service brings a van and crew to your door. You load the waste, the crew waits, and when you are done we take it away. It is a skip alternative that suits Margate’s streets.

Why Skip the Skip?

• No skip permit to arrange with Thanet District Council
• No skip sitting outside for days in a seafront wind
• No neighbours or passers-by filling it with their rubbish
• The road is clear as soon as the van leaves

This is handy in the Old Town, where streets are narrow, and around the station and Marine Terrace, where parking is limited. It also means you can book a visit for the day the old units come out, rather than living with a full skip on the doorstep while the work carries on.

Who Uses It

Homeowners doing DIY, landlords turning over flats between tenants, builders and trades on refurbishments, and anyone doing a garden project or a clear-out where they want to sort as they go. Our crew waits while you load. If you need help with the heavier bits, ask and they can help load.

What We Can Take

Most non-hazardous waste from homes, gardens and building work. That includes rubble, plasterboard offcuts, timber, old kitchens, bathroom suites, furniture, garden waste and general household rubbish. We cannot accept asbestos, gas bottles, chemicals or liquid paint.

Price and Peace of Mind

The price depends on how much waste there is and how heavy it is, so we give prices on request. Send a few photos on WhatsApp and we will reply with a figure. Same day or next day service is often available.

All waste is taken to licensed facilities and up to 90% is recycled or reused. You get a waste transfer note on every job and nothing is ever fly-tipped. EM Waste Clearance is family run, fully licensed and insured, and registered with the Environment Agency as a waste carrier (CBDU333885). We have over 15 years’ experience and more than 7,500 happy customers.
