Wait & Load Burnham-on-Crouch

Wait and Load in Burnham-on-Crouch

Burnham-on-Crouch has plenty of character, but the older streets running down to the quay were never designed for a skip. Many of the weatherboarded cottages and Victorian terraces off the High Street open straight onto the pavement, with no front garden and nowhere to put a steel container for a week. Our wait and load service gets round that. We send a van and crew to your door, they wait while you load the waste, and then the van drives away full. There is nothing left on the road afterwards.

How a wait and load skip alternative works

Think of the van as a skip that turns up, gets filled and leaves the same visit. You do the loading at your own pace, and if you would like a hand our crew can help load on request. Because the van doesn’t stay, you avoid the usual skip problems:

• No skip permit to arrange for a parked skip on the road
• No neighbours or passers-by topping it up with their own rubbish
• No skip sitting outside the house for days while you finish the job
• No damage to a gravel drive or block paving

It suits the kind of jobs we see across CM0: refurbishing a holiday let between bookings, stripping out a dated bathroom, clearing a garage full of old sailing kit, or tidying a garden after a winter of storms off the estuary.

Covering the whole Dengie peninsula

We cover Burnham-on-Crouch and the surrounding Maldon District villages, including Southminster, Ostend, Creeksea, Althorne, Tillingham and Bradwell-on-Sea. Roads out on the peninsula can be narrow lanes with soft verges, which is another reason people choose a van over a skip lorry. The van parks, you load, and the lane is clear again.

What can go in the van

Most non-hazardous household, garden and building waste is fine. That includes rubble, timber, plasterboard offcuts, old kitchens and bathroom suites, furniture, garden cuttings and general household rubbish. We can’t take hazardous items such as asbestos, gas bottles, chemicals or liquid paint, so please keep those separate.

Everything we collect goes to licensed facilities, with up to 90% recycled or reused. You get a waste transfer note on every job and nothing is ever fly-tipped. We are a family-run business with over 15 years’ experience, fully licensed and insured, and registered with the Environment Agency as a waste carrier (CBDU333885).

Getting a price

Wait and load rubbish removal is priced on the volume and weight of the waste, so we give a price on request rather than a set rate. The quickest way is to WhatsApp a few photos of what you’ve got to 07531 148 585, or call us free on 0800 910 1700. Same day or next day collections are often available in Burnham-on-Crouch, depending on where our vans are working.
