Wait & Load Hawkhurst

Wait & Load in Hawkhurst

Hawkhurst sits on the crossroads of the A21 and the A268 in the High Weald, split between The Moor, the older village green end, and Highgate, the main shopping area with its Colonnade. Away from those centres, many homes are period cottages, farmhouses and converted barns along narrow country lanes. That mix makes skips tricky: main roads are busy, lanes are tight, and soft verges are no place for a heavy container. EM Waste Clearance offers wait and load as a simpler route. We send a van and crew, wait while you load, and leave with your waste.

How it helps on rural properties

Larger plots tend to build up waste over years: old sheds, fencing, broken garden furniture, logs and branches, soil, and the contents of outbuildings. Renovating an older Wealden house adds rubble, timber, tiles and old fixtures. Wait and load suits both because you can load at your own pace while the crew waits, keeping what you want and sending the rest. Our crew can help load on request.

• No skip on a lane where it blocks farm vehicles or delivery vans
• No skip permit for the highway
• No skip sitting on a drive for a week and marking the gravel
• No one else filling your skip with their rubbish

What we can and can’t carry

Accepted: most non-hazardous household, garden and building waste, including rubble, plasterboard offcuts, timber, old kitchens and bathrooms, furniture and green waste. Not accepted: asbestos, gas bottles, chemicals and liquid paint. Older barns and outbuildings sometimes contain asbestos sheeting, which needs a specialist contractor rather than a waste van.

Covering Hawkhurst and nearby villages

Hawkhurst falls under Tunbridge Wells Borough Council, and we cover the TN18 area plus Cranbrook, Sandhurst, Benenden, Gills Green, Four Throws and Hartley. Wherever the job is, waste goes to licensed facilities, up to 90% is recycled or reused, and a waste transfer note is issued. We are family run, have more than 15 years’ experience and 7,500+ happy customers.

Booking is straightforward. Send us photos of the waste, tell us how the van can reach the property, including any gates, tracks or tight bends, and say whether you would like help loading. We will confirm a price before we set off, so you know where you stand. If the job is spread over several outbuildings, we can plan more than one visit as you work through them, rather than leaving a skip on site the whole time.

Price depends on the volume and weight of the waste. For a quote, WhatsApp photos to 07531 148 585, use the quote form, or call free on 0800 910 1700. Same day or next day visits are often possible in Hawkhurst.
