Furniture Disposal Broadstairs

Furniture Disposal in Broadstairs, Straight From Your Room to Our Van

Getting rid of a sofa or a heavy wardrobe in Broadstairs is rarely as easy as it sounds. A lot of homes in CT10 are Victorian and Edwardian terraces with narrow hallways and steep stairs, and many of the larger houses near the seafront have been split into flats with no lift. EM Waste Clearance takes the awkward part off your hands. Our two or three person team comes to you, carries the furniture out of whichever room it is in and loads it straight into the van. You don’t need to drag anything to the kerb.

What we collect

We take single items and full loads from Broadstairs and the rest of Thanet, including:

• Sofas, armchairs and sofa beds
• Beds, bed frames and mattresses
• Wardrobes, chests of drawers and cabinets
• Dining tables, chairs and desks
• Fridges, freezers, washing machines, cookers and other white goods

Big pieces are dismantled on site where that makes the job safer, which protects walls, banisters and door frames on the way out.

Old town streets and outlying bungalows

Roads around Albion Street, Harbour Street and the lanes running down to Viking Bay can be tight for a van, particularly in the summer months. Mention access and parking when you contact us and we will plan the collection so the van is on the street for as little time as possible. Further out, the bungalows and chalet-style homes around St Peter’s, Kingsgate and Reading Street often have a driveway, which keeps loading quick and simple. We also cover Dumpton, Northdown and the roads near Westwood Cross.

Quicker than waiting for a bulky collection

Council bulky collections can take weeks, and many charities won’t accept upholstered items such as sofas and armchairs without fire labels. Our furniture disposal service is often available same day or next day, and the price is fixed before any lifting starts. We price by how much room your items take up in the van and how easy the access is, so a single mattress costs far less than a houseful. Send a few photos on WhatsApp and we can usually quote straight away.

Anything in good condition is passed on for reuse. The rest is separated so metal, timber and fabric can be recycled. White goods go to licensed WEEE recyclers, and fridges and freezers go to licensed facilities that deal with the gases safely. Up to 90% of what we collect is recycled or reused and nothing is ever fly-tipped. We are an Environment Agency registered waste carrier (CBDU333885), fully licensed and insured, and every customer gets a waste transfer note.
