Furniture Disposal Ramsgate

Furniture Disposal Services in Ramsgate

Ramsgate’s housing is full of character, from tall Regency terraces around the Royal Harbour to post-war bungalows near Pegwell Bay. Getting an old sofa, bed or wardrobe out of some of these homes needs patience and a few extra pairs of hands. Our furniture disposal service in Ramsgate provides both, collecting straight from the room and taking everything away for reuse or recycling.

Tall Terraces and Tight Staircases

On the East Cliff and West Cliff, and around Spencer Square, Nelson Crescent and the streets behind the harbour, many grand houses have been divided into flats over four or five storeys. Staircases are narrow and parking can be difficult. Our two or three person team carries everything down, and where a wardrobe or bed won’t make it round a tight turn, we dismantle it on site to protect the walls and banisters. You don’t need to move anything to the pavement.

Away from the seafront, there are Victorian terraces around Ellington Park and Newington Road, family homes in Nethercourt and Northwood, and bungalows towards Cliffsend and Pegwell. We also collect from Minster, Manston and the rest of Thanet across CT11 and CT12.

What Goes in the Van

• Sofas, armchairs, corner sofas and sofa beds
• Mattresses, beds, headboards and bed frames
• Wardrobes, chests of drawers and bedside cabinets
• Dining tables, chairs, desks and bookshelves
• Fridges, freezers, washing machines, cookers and other white goods

Not Waiting Weeks

Council bulky collections can take weeks to come round, and many charities won’t accept upholstered furniture that has lost its fire labels. With us, same day or next day collection is often available, single items are welcome, and you’ll get a fixed price before we lift anything. Prices are based on the space your items take in the van and how easy the access is, so a single armchair from a ground-floor flat costs far less than clearing a whole top-floor apartment.

Reuse and Recycling

Good quality furniture is passed on for reuse wherever possible. The rest is broken down so metal, timber and fabric can be recycled. White goods go to licensed WEEE recyclers, and fridges and freezers are taken to licensed facilities that deal with the gases safely. Up to 90% of what we collect is recycled or reused, and nothing is ever fly-tipped. EM Waste Clearance is a family run business, fully licensed and insured, and registered with the Environment Agency (CBDU333885). Every Ramsgate customer receives a waste transfer note.
